EVANGELISM AND FOOD-FEEDING
‘”For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you invited me in,
I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to visit me.’”
~Matthew 25:35-40
The Great commission is more than just evangelism. It talks more about “Every Believer becoming a Follower of Jesus Christ”. In giving the Great Commission to His followers, Jesus said,
- Go – this means that the church to be able to fulfill the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ must reach out. For unless the church reaches out, the people will not be able to reach God.
- And Make Disciples of all Nations – this means that God wants every soul to be reached by the Church regardless of their tribe, culture, nationalities, status in life. The believers are to be Won, Instructed, and Nurtured in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. They are to be taught to obey everything Jesus commanded them.
- Followers of Jesus are assured of His presence anywhere, everywhere, and at anytime of the day to the end.
