The Greatest Of These Is Love

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
“If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.”

We may be somebody or we may have something to make us great if we have no love we are nothing. Love is powerful because God commands us to do it, He wants us to love those who hates us, pray for them and bless them and that makes love the greatest, it can even defeat sin and pride. Love is never real if you know it, it is never real when you hear it, because it must be done.

Love can move us to pray and love will make our faith, so powerful, because the word love comes from the lips of our Lord Jesus, He said in John 13:34-35 the world will know that you are my disciples, is it by your perfect theology? By your rules and regulations? No, but by how much you love one another. Love is greater than faith and greater than hope. Love must be real for it can defeat all your hearrt aches and it can even defeat all your selfishness. For when there is love in our actions, they will see Jesus in us because Jesus is the God of love and love conquers all!
