Somebody asked, If God is a God of love why would He allow Covid19 to come to His people? We may not understand it, but God causes some of our miseries in life. All of these are punishment for our sins.
A closer look at the case of the ten plagues of Egypt we can easily notice that only those that did not obey or follow the commands of the Lord suffered. Those who obeyed and submitted to the Lord God and His designated leader Moses were spared from the plagues.
Our God is a God of Love, Truth and Justice. He punishes the guilty yet in His mercy, He renders justice based on the truth. Continued disobedience from the Word of God will surely bring disaster. In His justice, He will punish the guilty.
God in His love and mercy would always provide a way of escape for His people. Regardless of who he is or what he has done. God is always at the rescue. (Read Jeremiah 32:18-20)
This is a divine truth—God’s purpose for His people are great and powerful. He will not allow anything to hinder the fulfillment of His purpose for men. God remains loving and just, in spite of man’s hard-headedness.
This is God’s justice – we get what our deeds deserve. And when man has completely veered away from the purposes and will of God, he brings upon himself untold storms.
Submit to God. Obey Him and His leaders and the God of Justice will surely do what He swore to you and me—prosperity and blessings in the land.
Our help is from the Lord. Let us walk in all His ways, love Him, serve Him, fear Him, and observe all His commands – with all our heart and soul. Our God has always been on our side. If not for Him, we could have been swallowed by the raging flood, and caught by the snares of the devil. Our help is in the name of the Lord who made heaven and earth. (Read Psalm 124)
