Smile

Life these days are causing a lot of people to be fearful and worried. Joy is no longer an everyday experience. Some people are getting of the future.

In 1954, Nat King Cole sung a Charlie Chaplin song entitled “Smile.” This song touched the hearts of millions and until now it is still touching people especially those going through difficult times. At first, I look at this song as a denial of the real situation but I realize this is a wonderful song that should be in the heart of everyone going through some difficult times in life. Here’s the song:

Smile though your heart is aching

Smile even though it’s breaking

When there are clouds in the sky

You’ll get by

If you smile

Through your fear and sorrow

Smile and maybe tomorrow

You’ll see the sun come shining through for you

If you just smile

Light up your face with gladness

Hide every trace of sadness

Although a tear may be ever so near

You’ll get by! Smile. Life offers so much hope especially if it is lived for the glory of God.  You may be hurting today, just smile and see the beauty of tomorrow which God prepared for you.

Light up your face with gladness – smile! Don’t look like you’re a worn-out soul or with a downcast spirit. Life offers wonderful things, just smile and live your life for Jesus. Brighten up your days and enjoy the great and wonderful blessings God had in stored for you.

Jesus is offering you His joy today. Smile and brighten up your days.

Jesus said, “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.” (John 15:11)

Turn your grief to Joy – smile! Ask the Lord whatever you need in Jesus’ name and you will receive an answer from Him.

Jesus said, “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” (John 16:24)

Down frown, don’t despair! There are thousands of reasons to smile and be happy. Make your day wonderful, light, and peaceful – just smile.
